A group calling itself the Association of Serial Callers in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have congratulated Hon. Afriyie Akoto, the Minister for Agriculture for winning the best Minister of the year.

In a Press Statement signed by the President of the Association, Lord Kwabena Yeboah, the group has remarked the planting for food and jobs as undoubtedly the number one flagship programe.

The statement read, “In 2018, the planting for food and jobs programme was undoubtedly the most remarkable and the number one flagship programme. Dr. Afriyie Akoto, his able deputies and staff at the Agric ministry were outstanding in the delivery of their respective responsibilities and we believe it is worthy if they are rated as the top performer for the 2018 year under review”.

Below is the statement…

We write to congratulate the Minister of Agriculture, Hon. Afriyie Akoto for emerging as the best minister in 2018.

Just recently, the Association of Aides to the Regional Chairmen of the NPP conducted opinion polls to find out who were the outstanding ministers among the Akufo-Addo led government in 2018. And it was refreshing to find Dr. Afriyie Akoto, the Minister of Agriculture pronounced as the topmost performer among equally outstanding Ministers.

We could not doubt but share greatly with this widely expected opinion polls.

In 2018, the planting for food and jobs programme was undoubtedly the most remarkable and the number one flagship programme. Dr. Afriyie Akoto, his able deputies and staff at the Agric ministry were outstanding in the delivery of their respective responsibilities and we believe it is worthy if they are rated as the top performer for the 2018 year under review.

We congratulate and appreciate Dr. Afriyie Akoto for playing his responsibilities prudently to support his brother, President Akufo Addo. He has worked hard, shown goodwill and supported the President to implement the planting for food and jobs programme that has been a success.

It must be noted that due the success of the planting for food and jobs policy implementation, we have a lot to say or text to respective media platforms in the Ashanti region and the whole country at large.

Again, we urge the Agric Minister to keep up with the good works

Signed.
Lord Kwabena Nyame
