Some Ghanaian players have hinted on embarking a demonstration following a long football inactivity in the country.
Stephen Manu popularly known as ‘BA’ confirmed the decision to Metro FM’s Academic and Matured Sports, Wednesday.
According to him, “since football came to a halt after the Anas expose, we (the players) are not been paid as a result of football inactivity”.
He further said; “We the players are hungry and its the reason we are going to demonstrate”.
Stephen Manu disclosed the number of players who are ready to embark on the demonstration and suggested to the normalization committee to address the issues with the clubs.
He said,” About 3000 players are ready to embark on demonstration if football doesn’t return soon, and thus, the normalization committee must sit down with the clubs and make the needed arrangements and make sure football returns.”
Stephen Manu BA is a prolific and aggressive striker who has played for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, BA United, SHB Champasak, New Edubiase, Techiman Eleven Wonders and many other clubs.
