MP Kennedy Agyapong seems to be moving past his problems with Anas Aremeyaw Anas and suggesting that the journalist give his attention to what is happening at BOST.
On the morning Tuesday, September 18, 2018, Assin Central lawmaker Kennedy Agyapong appeared on Adom TV’s “Badwam” to surprisingly sing the praise of recent nemesis, journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
The Member of Parliament (MP) has been involved a back and forth with the investigative journalist since the end of May. The issue between them borders on Agyapong’s view that Anas’ methods in investigative journalism are unfair.
As such, Anas has sued Agyapong for GHC25 million for defamation. But accorrdning to Mynewsgh.com, the MP is not presently thinking about the tussle between himself and Anas.
Agyapong is quoted as saying: “What is going on there makes me miss Anas. Investigations I have conducted there about the wrongful payments is more than Anas.”
“At this moment every well-meaning Ghanaian and civil society organizations built on integrity and national interest should be worried about the current development in the country.”
“…in the end it is the nation and the ordinary citizens that suffer the naked consequence of under-development and poverty.”
BOST is the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited. The firm is responsible for the government’s distribution of fuel to consumers through companies.
