Communications Officer for Kalera FC, Eric Alagidede, has denied claims that players of the newly promoted side has boycotted training following an outstanding salary areas.
Speaking exclusively to Academic & Matured Sports on Metro FM, Eric Alagidede said the players didn’t boycott training as reported.
He told host, Emmanuel Bentum, popularly known as Ember Power that he received the development with a shock.
“I was shocked when I heard the story about the players boycotting training so I called the coach to ask and I was told there was no training program scheduled yesterday”, he said.
Mr Alagidede,admitted the club is owing their players three months salary arrears.
“It’s true we need to pay the players their three months outstanding salaries but it has delayed due to issues within the family of our departed bank roller (Senator Brigidi)”, he noted.
Karela FC qualified for the Ghana Premier league in the 2017/2018 season after an impressive performance in the division one league during the 2016/2017 season.
