President Nana Akufo-Addo, has arrived in Doha on an official visit to Qatar.
The President left Accra on Monday morning at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who visited Ghana on December 24 last year.
The reciprocal visit is aimed at deepening and strengthening ties that exist between the two countries, and to explore other areas of co-operation for their mutual benefit, government statement says.
President Nana Akufo-Addo and his accompanying delegation were welcomed at Hamad International Airport by Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi, Qatar’s ambassador to Ghana Mohamed bin Ahmed al-Humaid, Ghana’s ambassador to Qatar, Emmanuel Enos, and several ambassadors of African countries to Qatar.
